Emmons died at the home of his grandaughter, Mrs. W.F. Mark, last Saturday. Born in Nelson County, Ky. , April 16, 1812, lacked only 11 days of being 90. Married Miss Atchinson, Aunt of James T., William and ex-Sheriff J.M. Atchinson, about 60 years ago. Lived with his son James W. Emmons and his grandaughter Mrs. W.F. Mark. Funeral Sunday by Elder T.B. Howe with burial in Bethel beside his wife. Left one son, James W., two daughters Mrs. W.D. Boyd, Mrs. Orra Trumbo of Missouri, and two grandaughters, Mrs. W.F. Mark and Miss Sallie Faris. Bethel cem. is known as Longview.
