THE BEATTIE EAGLE
Beattie, Kansas. Friday, Mar 2, 1906
A brother of Chas. Bearden died Monday and was buried Wednesday. He was a young man who came here some days ago and was far gone with consumption. He had no money and the funeral expenses will be paid by the county. We could get no particulars.
Later-We learned that the young man's name was Bert E. Bearden and he was aged about 25 years. The funeral was held at the house and he was buried in the cemetery north of town. Evangelist Gibony conducted the service.
