Paul Rodman Calderaro was born in Modesto on April 20, 1921 and passed away in Modesto on October 18, 2004. He joined the U.S. Army Air Corps during WWII. He married his wife, Martha, in Santa Cruz, California, about 1947, and the couple moved to Columbia about 1952.

During his years in Columbia, he was the assistant manager of the Columbia Airport, and had worked in construction including home building, masonry and plumbing. He owned Hidden Treasure Gold Mine Tours, Columbia Coffee Saloon restaurant and the Columbia Frosty. He was also a property caretaker.

At the time of his death, he was a husband of 57 years, father, brother, grandfather and great-grandfather.

He was laid to rest beside his daughter, Trudy.
