Joyce A. Hooper , 68, of 1114 N. Salina St., Syracuse, formerly of Ogdensburg, died Friday at St. Joseph's Hospital, Syracuse.
Mrs. Hooper was a registered nurse at St. Joseph's Hospital, Syracuse, until she became disabled in 1990. She was a former member of Notre Dame Church.
Born Oct. 20, 1929, in Canton, daughter of Herbert M. and Sadie Pease Boyer, she graduated from St. Mary's High School and Onondaga Community College, Syracuse, as a registered nurse.
She married Frank Silas Hooper on Dec. 10, 1951, in Syracuse. He died Feb. 19, 1965.
Surviving are a companion, a sister, three nieces, and two nephews.
A brother, James Boyer, an infant brother, Donald Boyer, and three sisters, Gail LaRose, Frances Snell and Barbara Boyer, died before her.
The funeral will be at 11:30 a.m. Monday at Allen-Nichols Funeral Home and at noon at Notre Dame Church with the Rev. John M. Hunt officiating. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery.
