Services will be in St. Thomas Catholic Church in Newton with Rev. Richard Peradotto presiding. Visitation will be in the Buchanan Funeral Home in Newton with the Holy Rosary.
Mr. Kocher was born Aug. 4, 1902, in Jasper County, the son of Edward and Rosa (Dallmier) Kocher. He married Kathryn Uebinger in 1957 and she survives.
He was a retired farmer and a member of St. Thomas Catholic Church; the Holy Name Society; and the Newton Moose.
Other survivors include four brothers, Odillo and Lester, both of Newton; Arthur, Dundas; and Victor, Sacramento, Ca.; two sisters, Mrs. Zita Reis, Ste. Marie; and Mrs. Zola Klingler, Newton.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother.
