Ruth E. Vereb, 76, North Port, died Sept. 29, 2005.
She was born June 16, 1929, in Gagetown, Mich., and came to North Port 28 years ago from Lake Leelanau, Mich. She was a longtime employee at Kmart of Venice and was a Catholic.
Survivors include a son, Frank J. III of North Port; a sister, Mary Averill of Saginaw, Mich.; and three grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday at Ewing Funeral Home. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Venice Memorial Gardens.
