She was born December 9, 1960 in Muskogee, Oklahoma to Max Duane and Alma Jean (Garretson) Allen. As a young girl, she moved with her family to Parsons where she graduated from Parsons High School in 1978. She later earned an Associate's degree from Friends University.
She and Steve Haviland were married December 13, 1979. They later divorced. On December 17, 2007, she and Warren C. Earling were married.
Following marriage, Lisa operated a daycare in her home for ten years. She later worked at Grandview Products in the Human Resources Department and Power Flame, both in Parsons. Most recently, Lisa worked as a certified nurse's aide at Via Christi in Pittsburg until retiring due to health. For three summers, she also operated the swimming pool at Scammon.
Lisa adored her grandchildren and enjoyed spending time with them. She also enjoyed crafts, making floral arrangements, camping and fishing. She was a Methodist. Lisa was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles in West Mineral where she had served as past secretary.

She was preceded in death by one son, Jeremy Haviland, on October 31, 2015.
Memorial services will be held at 6:00 p.m., Friday, July 14, 2017 at the Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home in Parsons. The family will receive friends immediately following the memorial service at the funeral home.
