Frederick Chiselbrook was born Fritz Wilhelm Carl Louis Meiselbach in Germany. He married Frieda Freidrich in 1909 and they came to the US on the "President Lincoln" later that same year. Shortly afterwards they moved to Utah where Fred worked as an accountant and in 1915 they relocated to Florida. Frederick and Frieda ran a business school in Florida for many years, but divorced in 1930. Shortly after the divorce, Frederic married Esther Berry and they had a son, Hopewell Russell Chiselbrook, born in 1931. The marriage apparently didn't last as in 1934 Frederick married a third time to "Mrs. Gertrude Strang". His obituary only lists the children from his first marriage. Hopewell Russell (who went by Russell H. Chiselbrook) lived in Georgia with his mother and her parents.

Funeral services for Frederick C. Chiselbrook Sr, 49, bookkepper, of 937 N.W. N River drive, who died yesterday in a local hospital, were to be at 2pm today in Ahern Funeral Home, with burial in Miami Memorial Park. Mr. Chiselbrook was a native of Germany and came here four years ago. He leaves three sons, Victor and Frederick Jr of Lakeland, and Lester Chiselbrook of NOrfolk, VA; two daughters, Mrs. Anna Baumgardner of Miami, and MIss Ellen Chiselbrook, Gainesville.
