Floyd A. Dayley, 83, went to be with our Heavenly Father and his beloved wife, Gladys on April 25, 2002, in Twin Falls, after an extended illness. Floyd was born August 6, 1918, in Rigby, Idaho, the son of Lon and Laura Call Dayley. He grew up and attended schools in Idaho. On February 2, 1939, he married Gladys. He then went to serve his country in the Army Air Corps during WWII. After returning from the service, Floyd and Gladys moved to California for 2 years. They returned to Twin Falls where he worked various construction jobs until 1949 when he went to work for the Highway Department. He retired in 1985 after 36 years of service. In his spare time, Floyd loved fishing, hunting and golf.

Floyd is survived by three children, Jeanne (Don) Molesworth, Larry Dayley and Sheryl (Mike) Thorpe, all of Twin Falls, Idaho; 6 grandchildren, Derek Molesworth, Lacey Dayley and Brooke Shearer of Twin Falls, Idaho; Brandon Shearer of Kuna, Idaho; Ranell Nystrom of Tacoma, Wash.; and Ryan Dayley of Chino, Calif.; 5 great grandchildren, Ashley, Mackenzie, Jackson, Megan and Ian. Also surviving are three sisters, Dot (George) Swarner of Twin Falls, Idaho; Lorraine Simms of Rexburg, Idaho and Eva (Al) Ward of Gooding, Idaho. His parents, Lon and Laura, one sister, Nona, his beloved wife, Gladys, one son, Boyd, and one grandson, Ferrell preceded him in death. At well known request, Floyd will be cremated and a private family memorial will follow at a later date. Cremation is under the direction of the Parke's Magic Valley Funeral Home of Twin Falls, Idaho.
