He was a son of the late Hugh Allen and Nellie Krause, early residents of Jersey county. His survivors are his wife Mrs. Mary Dolan Allen, a teacher at the Holy Ghost parochial school; three brothers, Eugene, Hubert, and Robert Allen of Jerseyville, and one sister, Mrs John (Mary) Clark of Florissant, Missouri. He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers.
