The funeral services of Pvt. Wilbur Coffman were held at the Butte Falls cemetery, Oct. 31. He was a victim of the influenza, and his body was sent from Camp Mills, New York accompanied by a young officer from the camp. The service was appropriate and comforting. Rev. J. C. Day conducted the service. The girls' glee club of the high school, assisted by Mrs. H. D. Mills and Mrs. J. F. Carson furnished the music. Private Wilbur Coffman was well known in this vicinity, and there are many to mourn his death. The citizens of Butte Falls extend their sympathy to the bereaved ones.
