D B Gannon was the son of Ida Mays Gannon and John J. Gannon an early banker in Dallas. Don as he was called served in World War I. After the war, he returned to Dallas where he worked for his Uncle, W. O. Connor in the Banking business. He was a cotton buyer for the bank for many years. He married Mildred R Hamilton in 1929. Later, he had his own business before he passed away. He is buried in the Mays Plot near his mother, father, and grandparents.
