Shirley Ann Sheldon, 69 of Harrisburg, passed away at 8 p.m. Friday, May 9, 2008, at St. Elizabeth's Hospital in Belleville following a long illness.
She was born on Jan. 2, 1939, in Rosiclare to the late Calvin and Sylvia Quertermous.
She was preceded in death by Carl Eugene Sheldon.
Shirley is survived by her children, Carl Eugene (Lisa) Sheldon, Calvin Thomas (Lisa) Sheldon, Charles Lloyd (Terressa) Sheldon, Brenda Kay (Ron) Mitchell, all of Harrisburg, and Karen Joyce (Lennie) McIntosh of Ohio.
She is also survived by grandchildren, Josh Sheldon, Gabe Sheldon, Dara McIntosh, Derik McIntosh, Loren McIntosh, Matt Sheldon, Stephanie Rowan, Casey Sheldon, Logan Sheldon, Ben Sheldon, Traci Rann, Blair Gibbons, Mitch Mitchell, Cain Sheldon and Luke Sheldon; 11 great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Jack (Gertrude) Quertermous, Helen (George) Owen, Dale (Lonnie) Quertermous, Louise Quertermous, Gary (Joanie) Quertermous, Mike Quertermous, Steve (Jennie) Quertermous; and two special caregivers, Lisa Greely and sister Louise Quertermous.
Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, May 13, 2008, at Good Hope Cemetery in Karbers Ridge. The Rev. Mark Smith will officiate. The family requests no flowers; memorial contributions may be made to Good Hope Cemetery. There will be no visitation at Reed Funeral Chapel; those wishing to attend should gather at the cemetery.
