Ambrose "Jack" DeHaven, 71, of Huntington died at 11:45 a.m. Saturday at Huntington Memorial Hospital.

He retired from the U.S. Air Force as a Senior Master Sergeant in 1965 after more than 20 years of service. He was a car
salesman at Bond Olds in Huntington and at Moore Chevy-Olds in Bluffton for 15 years. He also worked at the Huntington
County Jail as a dispatcher and jailer for 10 years and retired in 1990. He was a member of V.F.W. Post 2689 in Huntington
and the Indiana Sheriff's Association.

Born Feb. 19, 1927 in Huntington, he was a son of Ambrose B. and Effie Kahlenbeck DeHaven. He married Linda
Brubaker, who survives, Sept. 6, 1969 in Huntington.

Additional survivors include a son, Robert A. DeHaven of Houston, Texas; a daughter, Mrs. James (Sandra) House of
Huntington; two sisters, Mrs. Walter (Anna) Bowers of Huntington and Mrs. Doyle (Rheva) Bare of Warren; three
grandchildren and a great-grandchild.

A son, William E. DeHaven, two granddaughters and six brothers and a sister preceded him in death.

Calling will be from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Myers Funeral Home, Huntington Chapel.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Pilgrims Rest Cemetery in Huntington.
