GREEN, Elmer, age 97, died in his home in Brooksville, Florida. He was born April 21st, 1924 to Edgar Kenneth Green and Annis (Coon) Green of Alma, Michigan. He graduated from Ionia Highschool in 1942 and served in the United States Army from 1944-45.

Elmer graduated from General Motors Institute in 1948 with a Bachelor's degree in Engineering. He worked for Buick Motor Division in Flint, Michigan for over 33 years, retiring in 1975.

Elmer was married to Elsie Mae Miller in 1944 for 64 years until her death in 2008. They had five children, Beverly Diane, Kendra Lynn, Lawrence Eugene, Janice Lynette, who passed away at six months of age in 1950, and Valetta Ann.

Elmer and Elsie moved from Michigan to the Brooksville Wesleyan Village, Brooksville, Florida, in 1985 and attended the Brooksville Wesleyan Church.

Elmer married Lerena Marie Black Marcellus in 2011 and they lived in the Wesleyan Village until his death.

Elmer is survived by his wife Lerena Marie; his brother Richard L (wife Joanne) of Saint Louis, Michigan; four children, Beverly Diane Bigger of Cartersville, GA; Kendra Lynn Kosiba of Montrose, MI; Lawrence Eugene Green and wife Cheryl Lynn Green of Lecanto, Fl; and Valetta Ann Oswalt and husband Gerald Oswalt of Rydal, GA; and 83 grandchildren - 16 grand, 60 great-grand, and 7 great-great-grand.

Elmer is preceded in death by his first wife Elsie Mae, daughter Janice Lynette, father Edgar, mother Annis Orser, sister Lucille Bieri, and brother Gorden.

Internment and graveside memorial service will be on 1:00pm, Saturday, September 25, 2021 at the Sunset Hills Memorial Cemetery, G-4413 Flushing Rd., Flint, MI 48504 [(810) 732-0260], beside his first wife Elsie Mae and daughter Janice.
