Helen Patricia Cook age 76 passed away peacefully on Tuesday afternoon March 28, 2017, in Faxton-St. Luke's Medical Center, New Hartford. She had the support and comfort of her loving family at her side. She was born on February 1, 1941, in town of Norway, daughter of the late Herman Sr. and Sophie Unser Baylor. A lifelong area resident she was a graduate of Mohawk High School. On March 14, 1959, she was united in marriage to Kenneth Richard Cook in Grace Episcopal Church in Mohawk. Mrs. Cook was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Helen's home and family were her priorities in life. She was always there for them, in good times or bad. She was happiest when she was surrounded by her many friends and family and will be sadly missed.
Calling hours for Mrs. Cook will be on Tuesday from 3:00 until 6:00 pm. A funeral service will follow at immediately after at 6:00 pm with the Reverend Brian Engel, pastor of the Mohawk Reformed Church officiating.
Expressions of sympathy may be made with memorial donations to the Herkimer Humane Society or the Kelberman Center.
