Pat Gleeson, Jr. , 77, of Shawnee, KS, died Thursday, May 15, 2008 at the Garden Terrace of Overland Park. Funeral Services will be 10:00 A.M. Monday, May 19, at the Porter Funeral Home 8535 Monrovia, Lenexa, KS. Burial in Resurrection Cemetery, Lenexa, KS. Friends may call 1-3:00 P.M. Sunday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Boy Scout Troop 59 in Lawrence, KS. Pat was born November 18, 1930, in Liberal, KS. Pat was a certified Landman with Panhandle Eastern Pipline Company for 38 years and retired as Department Manager in 1988. Later he was instrumental in starting the Panhandle Retirees Club. He attended Kansas University for two years and was a member of the Pi Kappa Alpha Fraternity. He received his Bachelors of Law Degree from LaSalle University. He served in the Army Reserve for 3 years. Pat was a member of the Odd Fellows Lodge of Liberal, KS and the Overland Park Elks Lodge #2395. He was a member of the Shawnee Presbyterian Church and an Elder in the Presbyterian Church. Pat is survived by his wife of 56 years, Rosa (Sug) Gleeson; 2 children, Mark and his wife Mary-Nell Gleeson, Lawrence, KS, and Nancy Jo and her husband Joe Scalan, Oswego, IL; grandsons Benjamin Gleeson and Samuel Gleeson; 2 sisters, Nadine and her husband Eugene Hoskinson and Beulah Ratzlaff.
