Marjorie Ann Henry Anderson, age 97 of Chickamauga, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, August 15, 2022.

 She was born to the late Joseph Eubanks Henry and Gladys Irene Carlock Henry in Chickamauga, raised in Rock Spring, lived most of her life in Chickamauga and was a member of Elizabeth Lee United Methodist Church, where she was a long time member of the Katie Sue Bowen Group.

 Marjorie worked for the Chickamauga Telephone Co. and the City of Chickamauga, but also had the honor of registering young men into the U.S. Army for WWII while working for the US Government in Fort Oglethorpe.

 She was also known for her Square-Dancing skills and enjoyed playing the piano and walking the block in Chickamauga with her "walking buddy" Ms. Lantie. Marjorie was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, sister and friend who mostly enjoyed spending time with her family and grandchildren.

 She was also preceded in death by her husband, Linton Jackson Anderson Jr. and sister, Hilda Babb.

Marjorie is survived by her loving children, Ronnie (Dianne) Anderson, Lindy (Debbie) Anderson and Becky (Leon) Ray; brother, James Henry; 3 grandchildren, ; 3 great grandchildren, and several nieces & nephews.

 The funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm Saturday, August 20, 2022 at Elizabeth Lee United Methodist Church, with Min. Zach Fitzpatrick and Pastor Charles McElhaney officiating.

 The family will receive friends from 11:00 am until the service time on Saturday at the church. In lieu of flowers the family has requested memorial contributions be made to the Elizabeth Lee United Methodist Church Trust Fund in Ms. Marjorie's name.
