ELIZABETH SAMPSON MATTHEWS, age 88, of the Park Mansions, died on Friday, November 17, 1995. She was the widow of Armstrong R. Matthews, President of Consolidation Coal Company. She is survived by her daughter, Elizabeth M. Robinson; a grandson, Armstrong M. Robinson; and, a granddaughter, Sarah Catherine Robinson, all of Bronxville, New York.
Mrs. Matthew was a graduate of the University of Kentucky and a member of the West Penn Hospital Women's Auxiliary and of Calvary Episcopal Church, where a memorial service will be held (day and time to be announced). Burial was in Bluefield, West Virginia at the Monte Vista Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, it is suggested that contributions be sent to the Armstrong Robertson Matthews Foundation, 1st Centry Bank, Bluefield, WV 24701. Arrangements by H.
