Elbert B. Abbott married Mollie Brown in Henry County, Alabama on Jan 26, 1890.


He married Theodosia Viney nee Hatfield in 1921.


Elbert moved to Huron from Watertown, SD in 1917. He worked for the Chicago & North Western Railroad in the roundhouse for many years. He continued to live in Huron until he passed away.


Elbert was survived by his daughter Loyse and five sons - Cleveland, Harrison, McKinley, Hobart, Le Roy, and Thomas Abbott.
