Son of William Widener. Edward Widener enlisted on October 17, 1861, and was discharged on August 28, 1865, for a service of 3 years, 10 months, and 11 days.


In 1890 and 1900 the widowed Edward A Widener, 60, was an inmate in the Pennsylvania Soldiers and Sailors Home, Erie, Erie County, Pennsylvania.


WIDENER.—On May 226, 1905, at Erie, Pa., EDWARD A, husband of the late Ella Widener, in his 66th year. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral services, on Tuesday, at 2 P M, at the residence of his son-in-law, Mr George Beck, No 1026 Crease st. Interment at Greenmount Cemetery. Interment strictly private.
