"Ira M Ramsey dies at home - Ira M Ramsey, Sr, 84, of RD 3, Pulaski Road, a partner in the D G Ramsey and Sons Hardware firm, one of the oldest family businesses in this area, died at 8 pm yesterday at his home unexpectedly, apparently of a heart attack. Mr Ramsey was born in Harlansburg, Pa, on March 8, 1886, to the late David G and Eliza Jeanette Cunningham Ramsey. He was a member and served as a deacon of New Castle Bible Church. He is survived by his wife, the former Mildred Reeves; two daughters, Mrs Herman (Floy) Winans of Greenville and Mrs Edward (Marian) Shaner of Bethesda, Md; two sons, Robert of Pittsburgh and Ira M Jr of New Castle; two brothers, George and Ralph, both of New Castle; and 15 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by three brothers and a sister. Friends will be received at the Cunningham North Side Funeral Home, 2429 Wilmington Road...The service will be held at 1:30 pm Thursday at the funeral home, conducted by the Rev J Alfred Ford. Burial will be in Castle View Burial Park."
