Pfister, Bruce


Bruce Pfister, age 66 of Sheboygan Falls,Wisconsin, and formerly of Grand Haven, Michigan passed away on Wednesday, July 4, 2012 at Columbia St. Mary-Ozaukee Hospital. Bruce was born on October 18, 1945 a son of the late Edward and Eunice (Bolz) Pfister in Sheboygan. 


Bruce attended South High School in Sheboygan and graduated in 1963. He served in the U.S. Army Reserve from 1966 - 1970. He was married to Mary Simmelink on August 23, 1969 at Holy Name Catholic Church in Sheboygan. 


Bruce was employed by Stern's Tannery in Sheboygan Falls, and prior to that worked in sales for Stahl Finishing Company in Peabody, Massachusetts. Bruce was a fan of the Milwaukee Brewers and Sheboygan A's baseball and was a member of the Sheboygan County Old Timer Baseball Association. He was extremely proud of his children, grandchildren, and their successes. 


Surviving Bruce are his three daughters and their families: Linda & Scott Sowles and their children Shannon, Kaitlyn, & Aaron of Grand Haven, Michigan, Susan & Philip Heinlen and their children Danni, Philip, & Jackson of Traverse City, Michigan, Laurel Pfister of Grand Haven, and a son, Michael Pfister of Grand Haven. Also surviving Bruce are four brothers: Edward Pfister, Kenneth (Mary Ann) Pfister, Jerry (Lois) Pfister, Ronald (Lois) Pfister, a sister, Kathleen (William) Harms, and sister-in-law, Carol Pfister. Many nieces & nephews survive Bruce as well. He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Patricia Verona, brother-in-law, Anthony Verona, brother, Roger Pfister, and sister-in-law, Shirley Pfister (Zastoupil). 


Funeral services for Bruce will be held at the Reinbold-Novak Funeral Home (Novak-Ramm-Ziegler) 1535 South 12th Street, Sheboygan, Wisconsin 53081 on Friday, July 13th at 4:00 pm. A visitation with the family will be held from 2-4 pm. On Friday.


Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
