Lewis Holt died Wednesday at his home a mile south of Medaryville. He had been sick for several days from Influenza. His age was forty-five years, and he is survived by his widow and five children. The funeral was held Friday with services at Medaryville Christian Church, and interment in White Post Cemetery.
Lewis was the son of Isaiah and Phoebe Frances (Huffman) Holt. He was married in the year 1900 to Maria ELizabeth Stump at Chicago, Illinois. The couple had 6 children: Lester Franklin Holt, Meta Amelia McClellan, Roy Lewis Holt, Cecil Andrew Isaiah Holt, Florence Emily Steele, and John Richard Holt. Lester preceeded him in death. He was a farmer and active in politics, after his father-in-law.
