A Rosary and Funeral Mass for long-time Bridgeport resident Grace P. Robertson, 93, will be said Sept. 16 at the Infant of Prague Catholic Church in Bridgeport. The Rev. Andrew C. Dachauer, S.J., will officiate. Mrs. Robertson died Wednesday, Sept. 10 at the Washoe Medical Center following a brief illness. She was the daughter of Maude B. Stewart of Bridgeport and Antone Nikolas Berreyesa of San Jose, where she was born in 1904. She was the sister of A. Wesley Berreyesa of Bridgeport, the niece of Superior Court Judge Patrick R. and Emma Grace Parker, and a descendant of the Stewart-Wedertz families, early settlers of the Bridgeport Valley. She was raised in Bridgeport, educated at the Dominican Convent in San Rafael and the University of Nevada, Reno, ad returned home to run the Bridgeport Hotel with her mother Maude and her step-father Samuel M. Cohen which she contoured to operate until its sale in 1977. She married Albert Frederick Crocker, a son of one of the pioneering families of Inyo County and one of the first wardens of the State Fish and Game Department. She later married Kenneth Robertson of Wyoming and Oakland, Calif., who was with the Motorcycle Division of the Oakland Police Department. Mrs. Robertson's life encompassed all but six years of the 20th Century, whose changes she most clearly saw in her own journeys, first by train and stage wagon, more recently by jet around the world, then the United States in the beloved motorhome with Ken. Survivors include her husband, Kenneth; daughter Patricia Crocker Denton of Bridgeport; grandchildren Kathleen and John P. Abizaid, Maureen and Scott Pollock, and Aileen and Terry Setter; and 5 great-grandchildren. Interment will be at the Bridgeport Cemetery.
