NANCY DOBBS DAVIS - OBIT
Mrs. Nancy Dobbs Davis went home to be with her Lord in the early morning hours of January 16, 2024. Nancy was a kind lady who was loved by many and spoke of God's Love often and to many. She was born in Gainesville, Tx. and soon after moved to Snellville, Ga. and graduated from South Gwinnett High School. After high school, Nancy graduated from Atlanta secretarial school and became a legal secretary in a prominent Atlanta law firm. In 1974 she was employed as an executive secretary by the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers 5th District Office. Nancy moved to the Birmingham area when the IBEW office was transferred in 1976, retiring after thirty years.
Nancy loved playing and watching sports. From her early years playing league softball to avidly following the Atlanta Braves, her competitive nature was always present. After retirement" she treated herself to "memories of a lifetime" touring England, Greece and the Greek Isles and walking in the footsteps of the Apostles.
Nancy loved her family dearly and is survived by her two sons; Dewey Scott Davis (Geri) and Charles Kevin Davis (Lacy); grandchildren, Devin Chance, Kevin Davis, Gavin Wallace and Emily Savage (David); great grandchildren, Harper and Jailyn; her cherished sister Charlotte McCullough, nephew Jimmy McCullough(Karen) and grandnieces Kayelyn, Grace , Ashlyn niece Sidra Lyn Dobbs Leonard (Gene) great nieces Cassia and Shayna great nephew Johnny and dear friend Ronna Jones Nelson (Kirk)
Her Celebration of Life is scheduled for April 20, 2024, where she will be laid to rest next to her brother John Charles Dobbs in the Eternal Hills Cemetery in Snellville, Ga.
