Ann was a homemaker and a bookkeeper for many businesses and organizations. She was a member of the Heights Baptist Church: Creekside Campus, Richardson, TX.

She is survived by sons Bruce Cargile, of Richardson, TX (Meri Jane Cargile) and Mark Cargile, of Valparaiso, IN (Suzanne Cargile). Ann was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, David Cargile, and their oldest son, Terrance Michael Cargile.

Ann was a faithful wife, mother and grandmother who met the love of her life in Chicago, IL during WWII. They married after the war and she and David lived for many years in Lake Station, IN where he worked and retired from USSteel Corporation and they raised their family. After Terry's death at age 30 they moved to Valparaiso, IN, where they lived until David's passing on Nov. 14, 2003. Ann eventually moved to Wichita, KS and then to Richardson, TX with her oldest son, Bruce, and daughter-in-law.

Some of the things Ann enjoyed were spending time with her family and helping her husband with his garden. She enjoyed putting together complicated puzzles and needlework. As Ann's sight deteriorated in later years, she enjoyed listening to books on tape and always loved going out to eat, especially shrimp! In later years she spent hours praying for the needs of people she knew, including family and friends.

She deeply loved her family. Ann will be missed by family and friends and remembered for her love of the Lord and love to those she encountered.
