Kathleen "Taffy" White Jarman

NOVEMBER 6, 1948 – FEBRUARY 28, 2022

Kathleen White Jarman passed away on February 28, 2022 following a fall that caused severe head trauma.

A viewing will be held on Monday, March 7th from 10:30 am to 11:30 am at the Parley's 5th Ward Meeting House, 2615 East Stringham Avenue, Salt Lake City, Utah. Her funeral will start at Noon and dedication of the grave will occur at 2:00 pm at Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park, 3401 South Highland Drive, Salt Lake City, Utah.

Kathleen (Taffy) was born in Price, Utah to Morgan Dean White and Jessie LaMarr Anderson White. She was sealed to Lynn Brent Hunt Jarman on September 10, 1977 in the Salt Lake City Temple. Their years of devotion to each other had a solid foundation of love and faith.

Taffy and Lynn had a friend in common that was supposed to introduce them by inviting both to dinner at her home. After several months of this activity not occurring, Lynn called Taffy and invited her to dinner at the home of their friend-in-common. Lynn then called their friend and told her they were both coming to her home for dinner on Friday evening. Things went well and date nights to operas, symphonies, concerts, and plays continued through 44 years of marriage.

Taffy loved learning and attended both Brigham Young and the University of Utah, eventually earning her college degree from BYU. She retired from Career Services at the University of Utah in 2014.

Taffy's major loves in life included working on family histories, vacationing with family, playing with grandkids, and eating chocolate. She expressed her opinion that life without chocolate would be a huge disappointment. C. Kay Cummings cherry chocolates and Arctic Circle Moose Tracks chocolate shakes were tops on her list of the most delectable treats.

Taffy and Lynn loved being together. They were often seen taking long walks in their neighborhood, holding hands and greeting neighbors and friends and friends-to-be as they found joy in just experiencing the world around them.

Taffy often commented that this world would be a much happier place if people would just be kind, be kind, be kind. Her life was truly an expression of kindness and caring for others.

Taffy leaves behind her husband, Lynn; sons, Joseph (MaryJane) and Joshua (Sara); and four grandchildren.
