The funeral will be held on Monday for Chris Aguilar, the 14-year-old Port Chester boy who died after falling down an elevator shaft at the old United Hospital this week.
A wake will be held at the Don Bosco Community Center, at 22 Don Bosco Place in Port Chester, from 11 a.m. until a funeral Mass begins there at 7:30 p.m., said the Rev. Patrick Angelucci, of the Corpus Christi-Our Lady of the Rosary parish.
A GoFundMe page has been set up to help Aguilar's family pay for the arrangements and establish an endowment scholarship in his name. More than $9,000 had been raised as of this morning.

Frank Barchella, who created the page, said Aguilar's father worked for him at Barchella Landscape & Masonry. Barchella said he wanted to help and reached out to the boy's father, who gave his blessing to start the fundraising effort.
Aguilar, who had been finishing his freshman year at Port Chester High School, died after falling at the old hospital at 406 Boston Post Road on Tuesday night.
Port Chester police said he was one of several teenagers who had been on the roof of the vacant hospital shortly before 8:30 p.m. Aguilar ended up falling about 60 feet down an elevator shaft, police said.
Emergency crews pulled the boy from the shaft around 10:40 p.m. and he was taken to Greenwich Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, police said.
Police are still investigating the incident. The property is deserted but is slated for a massive development project with retail, residential, and office space.
