Arthur P. Loiacano, Jr. passed away on Saturday, June 12, 2010 at the age of 61.

 


Arthur was born in New Orleans, LA and graduated from Leon Godchaux High School in Reserve, LA. He was a Navy veteran of the Vietnam War and served aboard the USS Thornback nuclear submarine (SS-418). He was an employee of ECM Consultants and an officer of the Texas Louisiana Exchange Club.

 


He is survived by his sons: Arthur Phillip Smith of Gardner, KS and Karl Albert Smith of Olathe, KS; his siblings: Louis Windham Pflueger of McDonald, TN and Dorothy Pflueger Bennett of Memphis, TN and his grandsons: Andrew "Drew" Phillip Smith and Aidan Mark Smith. He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur Phillip Loiacano, Sr. and Jessie Mae Windham Warren and a sister, Sandra Lee Loiacano Tastet.

 


A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, June 21, 2010 at 1:00 pm at Garden of Memories Funeral Home, 4900 Airline Dr. in Metairie. Visitation will begin at 11:00 am. Interment will be in Garden of Memories Cemetery.

 


In lieu of flowers, donations to the Texas Louisiana Gulf Coast District Exchange Club, 975 Ridgepoint Court Baton Rouge, LA 70810 or your favorite charity are preferred.
