Barrett H. Bancroft, 85, of West Allis, a former Town of Charlestown farmer died Thursday morning at West Allis Memorial Hospital . He had been a patient there two weeks and in ill health for three years. Born Aug. 19, 1881, in the Town of Charlestown, he was a son of the late Joel and Lucy Allen Bancroft. He farmed in the Town of Charlestown until 1954, when he moved to Milwaukee. He never married. Survivors include one brother, Trubert of the Town of Charlestown; and two sisters, Mrs. Victoria Adams of Fond du Lac and Mrs. Harriet Losey of Milwaukee.
Funeral services will be held at the Pfeffer Funeral Home, Chilton, the Rev. Quentin Moeschberger, pastor of the Ebenezer United Church of Christ, Chilton, officiating. Burial will be in the Union Cemetery, Town of Charlestown.
