Catherine O'Malley, North Scranton, Dies

Mrs. Catherine O'Malley, 1818 Bloom Ave., widow of Philip O'Malley, Sr., died yesterday morning at her home after a short illness.


Born in Olyphant, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Murphy, she had lived most of her life in North Scranton and was a member of Holy Rosary Church and its Altar and Rosary Society.


She is survived by four sons, Donald, John and Walter, Scranton; and Philip, White Plains, N.Y.; five daughters: Mrs. Lawrence George, Mrs. Owen Garvey, Mrs. William McGrath, Mrs. Frank J. O'Malley and Mrs. John Boyle, Scranton; and a brother, Thomas Murphy, Olyphant.


The funeral will be held Friday from the home with mass at 9:30 a. m. in Holy Rosary Church. Interment, Cathedral Cemetery. Arrangements, Regans, North Scranton.
