Donald Keith Addison, 90, of Haymarket, VA., gained his angel wings on Friday May 27th. His final days were spent surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Drill, VA on February 16, 1932 to the late Roy and Snoda Addison.


Proceeding him in death are his parents, and his wife of 56 years, Mildred L. Addison. He was also proceeded in death by his second wife Kathleen Wade; two brothers Joe Addison and Les Addison; and one sister Sue Swaim.


Left to cherish his memory are his daughter S----- and her husband R--- McDonald; two grandchildren G--- (C----) McDonald and M------ Bailey McDonald; one great grand-daughter T------ L--- McDonald; and sisters Meryl (O-----) Woods of Oakwood, VA and Eva (A---) Andriuk of Centreville, VA.


He spent most of his life as a carpenter/contractor building homes in the Northern Virginia area.

Don was a Korean War Veteran working to develop and test the Nike Anti-Aircraft Missile System. Upon honorable discharge from the Army, he attended the University of Alabama. After college, Don went back to his carpentry roots and began Addison Contractors in 1962. He built homes for numerous home builders in the greater DMV area. He began a business that continues to thrive to this day. His legacy is carried on by his son-in-law R--- and his grandson G---.


He had many hobbies over his lifetime, including hunting, fishing, antique car restoration, bluegrass music and his beloved Alabama Crimson Tide Football. His true passion was golf, and could be found most days, after retiring, on a local golf course with many of his long time golf buddies.

He will be laid to rest on Saturday, June 4th at National Funeral Home and Memorial Park in Falls Church, VA. A memorial celebration will be planned in the coming months.


Heartfelt gratitude to Nadiya, his caregiver, also Emily, Hannah and the staff of the ICU unit at Inova Fair Oaks Hospital. National Funeral Home and Memorial Park will be handling the arrangements.
