Betty J. Dwyer, 82, of East Wenatchee, passed away Sunday, August 22, 2004, in Central Washington Hospital.

Betty was born Betty J. Hageman on November 23, 1921, to Arthur and Etta (Ledbeter) Hageman in Hayward, Wisconsin. She married Wayne J. Dwyer in August of 1940. They lived in Hayward and surrounding areas for several years before moving to Evansville, in southern Wisconsin.

In 1966, Betty and Wayne moved their family to Moses Lake, Washington. Wayne retired from the school district and moved with Betty to their beloved mountains of Ardenvoir. Age and health reasons moved the pair back into Wenatchee, where they could still be in their mountains, with the convenience of the city.

Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne, in June of 2002; her brother, Arthur and three sisters, Francis, Helen and Bonnie.

She is survived by three sisters, Florence Larsen of Rush City, MN, Esther Olson of Warden WA, and Eva Clark of Stone Lake WI; seven sons, Ronald of Cazenovia WI, David of Leavenworth, John of East Wenatchee, Dale of Wisconsin Dells, WI, Michael of Wenatchee, Daniel of Moses Lake, Thomas of East Wenatchee; fifteen grandchildren, five step grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.

She is loved by all and will be greatly missed.

A Catholic Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m., on Friday, August 27, 2004, at Holy Apostles Catholic Church with Fr. Francisco Higuera celebrating. Interment will follow at Evergreen Memorial Park. Viewing will be held at the funeral home on Thursday from noon to 8 p.m. with a vigil service at 6 p.m.
