Mark was a loving son, brother and uncle, but the thing that defined him was music. This talented musician began by learning to play drums and moved on to guitar. He founded and taught at Rock School in Fort Oglethorpe, Georgia. He loved teaching children and young people how to express themselves through music. He inspired so many. He found teaching music to be his calling and spread his love of performing rock music to many.
On the side he also had a passion for music from the Civil War era and recorded some lovely accoustic guitar music you can find on YouTube by searching for @markfergusonmusic. He is also on Facebook under Mark Ferguson Guitarist. His personal page there includes many photos of the events he and his Rock School students played as well as their memorials to him.
Mark was a member of the local Chattanooga band Red, Hot & Blue playing the music of the 50's and 60's.
Mark is missed by family, friends, students and fans of his work and will be remembered by all of us.
