He enlisted in the Army Air Corps at San Diego, CA March 17, 1944, and made it his career. He served in WW II and Korea, and was on a tour of duty at Carswell Air Force Base in Ft. Worth when he died of a heart attack. He was living with his wife and three children in River Oaks, Texas at the time. He was a member of the Burton Hill Baptist Church. He held the rank of Master Sergeant in the US Air Force. He has a veteran's grave marker.
