Andrew J. Duggins sr., 78, of DeLand died May 26, 1997 at the Parnell Access DeWitt Township, DeWitt County. Funeral services were May 30 at the Calvert-Belangee-Bruce Funeral Home in Farmer City with burial in Greenleaf Cemetery, Farmer City. Military graveside rites were accorded by Joe Williams Post 55 American Legion of Farmer City.

Mr. Duggins was born November 15, 1918 in Fallsof Rough KY, s/o Rauseau and Maggie Wheatley Duggins. He married Marjorie Berry on November 30, 1941 in Owensboro KY. She survives along with sons: Burril William of Cape Coral FL; Andrew J. Jr. of Clinton; and Rick H. of Farmer City; daughter, Nancy Dianne Coleman, Farmer City; brother: Rauseau Duggins of Louisville KY; sister, Ruby Cook, Indiana; and five grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, one grandson, two brothers and five sisters.

Mr. Duggins was a retired truck driver having worked for Ron Fisher Trucking Service of DeLand. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Farmer City.
