Michelle Marie Darby Giraldes was born in Redwood City, Calif. on December 21, 1957 and died in Reno, Nev. on February 13, 2005, age 47. Michelle lived most of her life in Santa Clara County and attended school in Santa Clara.
She is survived by her beloved son, John Giraldes, a graduate student at the University of Minnesota, Minneapolis, Minn.; her mother, Barbara Darby of San Jose; brother Tom Darby, wife Kim and sons Tom and Bret of Duvall, Wash.; and brother Brian Darby of San Jose. Preceased by her father, William Darby and brother, Billy Darby. Also survived by her fiance, Chris Levie and family of Reno, Nev., and numerous uncles, aunts and cousins.
Michelle fought a courageous battle against Ovarian cancer and Leukemia. We lost Michelle too soon.
