Pioneer Stage Coach Driver. George was in Company A, 29th Regiment, Iowa Infantry, during the Civil War. After the war he worked as a Stage Coach Driver with Wells-Fargo Express Company from Omaha to Denver. Reportedly he had several close calls with bandits and Indians. After that job he did mining jobs and worked for the Hill Smelter Co. for 40 years. He married Arianna Eastman on Mar 6, 1895 and had two sons; John & Harvey and a daughter Fietta. Lived until age 76.
