Milton E. Acton was a lifelong resident of Boone County, the son of Riggs and Lena Taylor Acton. He married Colleen Stone on June 15, 1946. He was employed by Missouri Utilities for 20 years and then worked in the construction field for several years.

Milton was in the U.S. Navy during WW II. He attended the Nashville Baptist Church. Rev. Donald D. Snyder officiated the service.
