Mildred Allen, 82, of Liberty died Wednesday, Dec. 4, 2002, in a local nursing home. She was a homemaker, a member of Liberty Assembly of God and the widow of Eric Allen. Funeral will be 11 a.m. Monday at Liberty Assembly of God with burial at Liberty Cemetery in Liberty, Okla. under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren. She leaves behind two daughters, Waiva and husband, LeRoy Strain of Van Buren and Linda and husband, Glenn Thompson of Van Buren; two sons, Steve and wife, Vada Allen of Brentwood, Tenn., and Bruce and wife, Cyndi Allen of Kerrville, Texas; a brother, Wayne Redden of Van Buren; 11 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers are Wes Redding, Shaen, Daron, Courtney and Eric Allen II and Doug Miller. Honorary pallbearers are Patrick Jacobs, Rob Hatch, Freddy Rader, Jonathan Hamby, Mark Perritt and Ronnie Redden. The family will visit with friends from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
