Bettie moved to Bath County with her family sometime in the 1860's and on January 1, 1882 she married Thomas Dickerson, son of George and Francis (Ruley) Dickerson. The minister was Curtis Crouch of the Christ Church who lived next door to Thomas at the time. Bettie and Thomas lived the rest of their lives at Salt Lick. She shares the Headstone with her husband Thomas.
