Margaret Joyce Snow, 67, Bluffton, died at 9:52 p.m. Sunday (May 2, 1999) at St. Joseph Hospital, Fort Wayne. Mrs. Snow was a substitute school teacher for the South Adams, Bluffton-Harrison and Southern Wells school systems. She had formerly owned and operated a beauty shop in Hartford City. She was a member of the Nottingham Township Home Extension Club. She graduated from Hartford City High School in 1950 and Indiana-Purdue University at Fort Wayne in 1980.
She was born April 27, 1932 in Van Buren to Paul and Wilma Marshall Amos. She married Max B. Snow June 8, 1958 in Hartford City. He survives. Also surviving are a son, Brad Snow, Poneto; two brothers, John Amos, VeVay, and Carl Amos, Utah; three sisters, Miriam Wise and Shirley Lennon, both of Hartford City, and Jackie Sum, Haddonfield, N.J.; and two grandchildren. A son, Eric Snow, preceded her in death in 1987.
Calling will be from 1-8 p.m. Tuesday and from 9:30 a.m. until the 10:30 a.m. funeral service Wednesday at the Glancy Funeral Homes, H. Brown & Son Chapel, 203 N. Matilda St., Warren. Rev. Ralph Klinker will officiate at the service. Burial will be at the Woodlawn Cemetery, Warren. Preferred memorials are to the Old Salem Church, Nottingham Township, Wells County.
