Died Sept. 5, 1982

Mrs. Samme Hutsell Warren, 94, of Niota died Sunday morning in a Lenoir City nursing home. A lifelong resident of McMinn County, she was a daughter of the late Eramus Taylor and Susan Julian Hutsell. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe R. Warren, July 22, 1969.

Mrs. Warren was the granddaughter of Andrew Hutsell, who donated the property for Union Chapel Methodist Church and cemetery.

She was a member of Niota United Methodist Church.

Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Millard (Mildred) Skelton and Mrs. T. Henry (Martha) Carpenter, both of Niota; six grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were to be held at 4 p.m. today in the chapel of Smith Funeral Home with the Rev. William Riden, Benny Matherly and Minister Tommy Irons officiating. Burial was to be in Union Chapel Cemetery. Pall bearers were to be William H. Carpenter, Marvin Templin, Sam Axley Jr., Warren Skelton, Lyndon Jackson and Donnie Hill. Smith Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
