MRS. CHESTER SCHMIDT
Mrs. Osee Schmidt, 83, of Lowell, widow of Chester Schmidt, died yesterday at Fairview Manor Nursing Home, Beverly, following an extended illness.
She was born Sept. 12, 1882, in Washington County, a daughter of John and Liza Morris Miracle, and lived her entire life in the Washington County area.
Mrs. Schmidt was a member of Lowell Methodist Church and a former member of Lowell Grange No. 2475.
She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Frank Hoskin of Salem; one son, Bernard Schmidt of Columbus, and three brothers, Wade Miracle of Gnadenhutten, Grover Miracle of Creston and George Miracle of Marietta.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Lowell Methodist Church with the Rev. J. Lee Gorman officiating. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery. The Peoples Funeral Home of Lowell is in charge of arrangements. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. today and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. tomorrow.
