Bruce F. Crooks (1970-2007)IONIA - Bruce Frederick Crooks, 37, of Ionia, died Sunday, Nov. 18, at Mercy Medical Center, New Hampton.
He was born Jan. 31, 1970, in Waverly, son of Larry and Kathy Berger Crooks. He married Wendy Geerts on May 10, 1997, at Trinity Lutheran Church, New Hampton.He graduated from Charles City High School in 1988. He attended college and then was employed as a carpenter with RA Crooks Customs of Ionia. He drove a school bus part time and delivered wreckers for Zips.
Preceded in death by: his father; paternal grandparents, Walter and Hattie Crooks; and maternal grandfather, Frederick Berger.
Services: 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Trinity Lutheran Church, New Hampton, with burial in the New Hampton Cemetery. Public visitation from 3 to 8 p.m. today at Conway-Kolbet Funeral Home, New Hampton, and for an hour before services Wednesday at the church.Memorials: may be directed to the family.
