Anna Ruth McCaslin

Anna Ruth McCaslin, 73, of Etowah, died Friday afternoon, July 30, 2004, at her residence. A native of Englewood and a McMinn County resident for the past 40 years, she was an Avon representative. A daughter of the late Elihue and Chessie Mae Carruth Barnett, she was a member of the Benton Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses. She was preceded in death by her stepmother, Lula Barnett; two sisters, Mae Satterfield and Elizabeth Barnett; and four brothers, Fleetus Barnett, Kenneth Barnett, Dillard Barnett and Voyd Barnett.

Survivors include her husband, Carl D. McCaslin of Etowah; two daughters and one son-in-law, Joyce and James Watson of Riceville, and Annette McCaslin of Etowah; two sons and daughters-in-law, Carl Dwain and Hazel McCaslin of Etowah, and Larry Edward and Janice McCaslin of Knoxville; 13 grandchildren, Carrie Williams, Ivan and Venice McCaslin, Matthew, Jeremiah and Jonathan Watson, Allison, Meredith, Brandon and Jessica McCaslin, Candice Taylor and Autumn Nicole and Devin Green; 10 great-grandchildren; onesister, Velma Derrick of Englewood; one sister-in-law, Bennie Barnett of Englewood; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 8 p.m. Monday in the south chapel of Bordwine Funeral Home with Elder Harold Haddock officiating. Family and friends will assemble at the funeral home at 10 a.m. Tuesday and proceed to Green Hill Cemetery for the 11 a.m. burial.

Pallbearers will be Kenneth Hewitt, Lonnie Thomas, Scott Abbes, Jessie Jarreau, Sean Jacobson and David Morgan. Honorary pallbearers will be grandsons, Ivan McCaslin, Vince McCaslin, Matthew Watson, Jeremiah Watson, Brandon McCaslin and Devin Green.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Benton Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses.

Bordwine Funeral Home of Etowah is in charge of arrangements.
