She was the wife of Dale Edmondson.
She worked for Hanes Brand out of the Tidewood Factory, Hometown, and previously was employed by the High and Lite egg farm, Tamaqua.
Born in Coaldale, she was a daughter of the late John W. and Jean (Wagner) Chakurda.
She was a member of the American Legion Post 173 Auxiliary, Tamaqua, and the West Penn Rod and Gun Club.
Surviving in addition to her husband is three sones, Lester W. Dietrich and Joseph Dietrich, both of Tamaqua, and Bobby M. Dietrich of Nesquehoning; and two grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by a sister, Sharon Shoener.
The E. Franklin Griffiths Funeral Home, 655 E. Broad St., Tamaqua, is in charge of the arrangements.
