Mildred Davis
Mildred Leona Davis, mother of Nashville resident Larry O. Davis, died Sunday, September 1, 2002, at Brown County Health and Living Center. A resident of Bloomington, she was 91.
Born February 4, 1911, in Monroe County, she was the daughter of James Otis and Cecil (Sanborn) Brinegar.
She married Elzie P. Davis, who preceded her in death.
Mrs. Davis was a group leader at Sarkes Tarzian for 25 years and a member of First Church of the Nazarene in Bloomington.
Other survivors include sons J. Fred Brinegar, Jerry L. Davis and Gary Mike Davis, all of Bloomington; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Also preceding her in death were a son, Terry Joe Davis; a grandson, Terry Davis; a great-grandson, Ricky Davis; three brothers, Howard Brinegar, Morris Brinegar and Robert Brinegar; and one sister, Margaret Abbott.
The Reverend James Hicks conducted services Wednesday, September 4, at Allen Funeral Home in Bloomington.
Burial was in that community's Valhalla Memory Gardens.
