Ray R. Fitzwater was born November 13, 1886, and passed away July 2, 1966, at Nelson at the age of 79 years, 7 months and 19 days.
He was united in marriage to Jeneva (sic) Belle McComas January 19, 1906 (sic), and to this union five children were born. He lived in Nuckolls County 37 years, farming in the Nelson-Oak vicinity.
Mr. and Mrs. Fitzwater took up residence here in Nelson last November.
Survivors include: his wife, Jeneva (sic); one son, Cecil of Braymer, Mo.; four daughters, Florence (Mrs. Jimmie Kubicek) of Oak, Opal (Mrs. Frank Kubicek) of Oak, Lillian (Mrs. Al Jensen) of Lincoln, and Mae B. (Mrs. Dwight Milligan) of Springfield, Mo.; 14 grandchildren; 27 great grandchildren; and one brother, Asa of Randolph.
He was preceeded (sic) in death by 3 brothers, 2 sisters, 3 granddaughters and 1 great grandson.
Funeral services were held at the Klawitter Chapel in Nelson Monday, July 4, with Rev. Russell Wayland officiating.
Casket bearers were A.L. Jensen, Dwight Milligan, Frank Kubicek, Jimmie Kubicek, Gerald Kubicek and Gary Kubicek.
